The materials required for fibre production include the pandanus plant, stems of saplings, barks and grass. Dyes are sourced from roots, bulbs, berries, flowers and leaves. When materials are collected they are soaked in water or even scraped to soften them. Dyes are crushed or pounded and then boiled. Fibre is added to the dyes to enable the colours to take, creating intense and vibrant shades of green, yellow, red and purple.

*Colours differ slightly in person from the photos.

This basket is made from naturally dyed pandanus.

This basket is 13cm in diameter and 12cm deep.
