“This is the Tjukurrpa (Dreaming) story of my grandfather, who passed it down to me. It is about the place Ilpilli, west of Watiyawanu (Mt Liebig). Two Tjampitjinpa men were travelling from down south towards north. They were emu and rainbow serpent. They stopped at Illpilli and had a rest. The place is a little hill on the side of the road towards Kintore. The emu man is inside that hill and the rainbow serpent man outside.”
Acrylic on Canvas, stretched over a timber frame.
