This beautiful terracotta coolamon can be a decorative display piece or a vessel to hold keys, jewellery or other small items. Coolamons are a traditional Aboriginal carrying vessel, originally made from wood, they were multi-purpose impliments to carry water, or collecting food, sometimes larger types were used to cradle babies.
