The Boomerang has become an internationally known symbol to represent Australian Aboriginal art and it’s time we took it back!
The Boomerang is phenomenal piece of Aboriginal creativity, ingenuity, and science.
A truly incredible device unique to Aboriginal culture. It was one of the first objects to be mass-produced and appropriated, becoming the most common souvenir to represent Aboriginal culture. This incredible device has now become ‘kitsch’ symbolising a token representation of our culture and inauthentic boomerangs have been littering tourist shops for decades.
