Patricia Nelson

Patricia Nelson is part of the Luritja language group and lives at Larapinta town camp. Every morning Patricia visits the Yarrenyty Arltere centre to do sewing with her grandmother and auntie.

The soft sculptures produced by Yarrenyty Arltere Artists are primarily made by women from the Arrernte community, who draw inspiration from their cultural heritage and life experience. These sculptures are crafted from discarded clothing and textiles, which are then transformed into whimsical pieces of art.
