Warrapangi Wununmurru

Painter, of the Dhalwangu clan, Yirritja moiety, Arnhemland, Northern Territory, Australia. Granddaughter of the leader of the Gurrumuru Dhalwangu people, Nyipaynga. She produces non-sacred paintings and carvings for sale to tourists, as well as sacred paintings of her clan. Warrapangi and her two sisters Wutjalkara and Galkama only ever paint the important story of Barama, the greatest of the Yirritja moiety ancestral beings.
