Kaizi’s Traditional Coconut Oil

Kapua Kaizi is a man deeply connected to the art of traditional coconut oil-making, passed down through generations. Rooted in his cultural heritage, Kapua embraces the wisdom imparted by his mother, who, in turn, learned from her grandmother, a native woman from Murray Island in the Torres Straits.

Kapua’s dedication to preserving and sharing these ancestral traditions is unwavering. He believes that the traditional foods he champions have fortified him physically and spiritually. In Torres Strait Island cooking, the coconut takes center stage, and its value is cherished by the community.

What began as a humble coconut-selling venture at a local market has blossomed into a thriving family business, driven by the demand for Kapua’s authentic coconut oil. You can experience the essence of his craft at the scenic Port Douglas beachside market and the lush rainforest surroundings of the Original Kuranda Markets near Cairns. Kapua Kaizi’s coconut oil is a testament to the richness of tradition and the pursuit of quality.
