Artist Talk | Philomena and Michelle Yeatman
All the way from Far North Queensland, Philomena and Michelle Yeatman will talk about artworks on show.
Aboriginal Art Co invites you to hear directly from acclaimed Yarrabah artists Philomena Yeatman and Michelle Yeatman as they share the stories, techniques, and cultural knowledge behind the exhibition Yarrabah: Together in Print.
Date: Thursday, 26 March 2026
Time: 4:00–5:00 PM – Artist Talk
Location: Aboriginal Art Co, 1/23 Anthony St, West End. RSVP Here!
The artists will speak about their screenprinting practice at the Yarrabah Arts & Cultural Precinct, reflecting on how individual designs come together in layered, large-scale collaborative works. Through colour, repetition, and rhythm, their prints carry stories of Country, family, identity, and shared cultural strength.
This conversation offers a deeper insight into the process of pushing ink through screens to create bold, dynamic compositions — where each artist leaves a distinct imprint while contributing to a collective visual story.
Stay on for the exhibition opening from 5:00–7:00 PM and experience the full body of work, including individual prints and collaborative canvases by Philomena Yeatman, Michelle Yeatman, Edna Ambrym, Valmai Pollard, Simone Arnol, and Christopher Harris.
