Gel Plate Printmaking with Dr Debbie Taylor Worley
Date: Saturday 30 August, 2025
Time: 9:00am – 12:00pm
Location: Aboriginal Art Co, 89 Grey Street, South Brisbane
Ages: 14+ (open to all skill levels)
Workshop Overview
Join Gamilaraay artist Dr Debbie Taylor Worley for a hands-on workshop exploring the vibrant world of gel (or gelli) printing—a playful mono-printing technique that uses soft gelatin plates to layer colour, texture, and pattern in unexpected ways.
In this creative session, you’ll experiment with botanicals, stencils, and various mark-making tools to create expressive, textural prints. Under Debbie’s expert guidance, you’ll then transform your collection of prints into a unique concertina artist book to take home—a personal keepsake from your day of creativity.
This workshop is perfect for both beginners and experienced creatives, offering a relaxed, welcoming environment to explore new techniques and ignite your imagination.
