'Kungkayunti/Women Dancing' by Alison Napurrula Multa Pantjiti
This painting shows the artist's Tjukurrpa (Dreaming), Kungkayunti, the place where all the ancestral Arrernte women come to rest after travelling from Ntaria (Hermannsburg) to Kintore and past Kulpitarra (Outstation). There, they dance, share stories and renew their law. The women turned into stone where you still can see them today.
Ungkayunti (women dancing) is the name of the place that the women first camped. They were on a journey, on their way to women's business.

Each Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander artist, art centre and business are unique and prices are negotiated and can vary.
Generally speaking, we take a 30% commission on sales to cover our overheads; it costs to have a prime location in a Brisbane metro area, professional staff, insurances, marketing and communications, administration and general expenses running a gallery and retail space.
