Created by esteemed artist Paul Namarinjmak, the piece reflects the deep spiritual connection between the Kuninjku people and their environment in Western Arnhem Land.
Using traditional materials and techniques, Paul has painted the figure of Namarrkon, the Lightning Spirit, whose arcs of energy are said to ripple through the skies during the monsoon season. The artwork is meticulously executed on hand-harvested eucalyptus bark, adorned with natural ochres and intricate rarrk (cross-hatching), a hallmark of Kuninjku art.

Each Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander artist, art centre and business are unique and prices are negotiated and can vary.
Generally speaking, we take a 30% commission on sales to cover our overheads; it costs to have a prime location in a Brisbane metro area, professional staff, insurances, marketing and communications, administration and general expenses running a gallery and retail space.
